For more than 14 years, the co-operation between the Fiege Group and Kimberly-Clark has been making its mark on the Iberian Peninsula: In 1993, the American company, whose head office is in Dallas/Texas, entrusted its logistics - from the moment the products leave end production, for its warehousing as well as the entire national distribution in Spain and Portugal - to the Spanish Fiege employees.
The central warehouse in Salamanca today includes a complex of 22,500 square metres in space and is located in the immediate vicinity to the factory site of Kimberly-Clark in Doñinos, Salamanca. The warehouse and factory are linked via a tunnel through which a 105-metre long double conveyor belt passes. This system facilitates the simultaneous transport of finished goods to the warehouse, and the return of empty pallets to production.
The annual sales figures for the products are quite impressive: Fiege handles for Kimberly-Clark in excess of 1.5 million cubic metres of merchandise. More than 15,000 trucks deliver the products throughout Portugal and Spain year after year. Fiege can rely on the support of its dedicated staff, which on 365 days of the year assist in supplying the production, and on 290 days focus on order preparation, dispatch and administrative duties. The ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) certifications are further proof of the high quality of the work carried out here.
